Characteristic site of the entrenched spur of Le Devend, La Larinaz & Charbonnier

The isthmus of this rocky headland cut off by an entrenchment creates a kind of fortified habitat comprising a hilly overhang and a naturally sheltered spur where a fortified structure offered protection to its human occupants.
